Riding up the Al-Can (A Motorcycle Trek to Alaska) Chapter 12

Nay and I put on 60 miles or more running around just having fun. It was a good visit and I had missed her. She was headed to work, so I chose to head North.

Had my first mishap. The rocker box vent fell off going down the highway. Stopped in Bellingham at NAPA and bought a new gasket and a replacement. Thank God this bike uses standard engine parts from a Chevy V-8!

Hope to cross border tonight and see how far I get. The journey has truly begun Grizzly-nauts! I'll be in touch.

Riding up the Al-Can (A Motorcycle Trek to Alaska) Chapter 10

Typical of Seattle weather, this is how I'm starting out. The guys in the warehouse were great and seemed almost as excited to hear the bike start as I was to ride it. A quick putt to the gas station previewed the ride ahead with every expectation and more. Marc is on his way, then food time and coffee.
